Annette Kleiser has over 17 years of experience in business development both in university technology transfer and the biotechnology industry. Her experience in the private sector includes assisting companies in their business development efforts, licensing of novel opportunities, negotiating partnerships and developing long-term strategies.
Kleiser has held positions as VP of Business Development at Allon Therapeutics, VP of Licensing at Epigenomics Inc., Senior Licensing Manager at Amgen, Technology Licensing Manager in the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of Washington, and Assistant Director, Strategic Alliances & Corporate Collaborations at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. During her tenure at USC, Kleiser also served as a member of the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI) steering committee, contributed as Co-Director, Preclinical Translation and Regulatory Sciences Program, and participated on the oversight committee of the USC Coulter Translational Research Partnership Program. In addition to fostering corporate engagement in university research, she supports foundations and start-up companies in the development of translational and business development strategies.
Kleiser studied biology at the University of Konstanz and earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She completed her postdoctoral studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA.
